For those who may not be aware, headspace day is our annual day to celebrate all things headspace.
As part of this year's theme, it was identified that on average we make 35,000 decisions a day. This means that there is very little room to switch off and creatively and mentally refresh and reset.
So often we are asking young people to do more for their mental health and wellbeing. While of course these actions provide value, they can also overwhelm and feel difficult to achieve.
That's why this year we are encouraging young people to do "nothing" this headspace day for their mental health and wellbeing.
The message reframes "nothing" as an active choice. Nothing is about allowing ourselves to remove the pressures of everyday life and remove the expectation of always needing to do more.
This year, join us at our Centre Open Day in Launceston on Wednesday 14th October.
Who can attend?
Anyone! Whether you are a young person, a family member, service provider or community member, everyone is welcome to come and enjoy our chill out zones and walk through our centre at your own pace. Our staff will be helping facilitate the day if you are keen to find out more information about our service or hear what it's like to come to headspace.
Do I need to register my attendance beforehand?
No! When you come up to our centre on the day, just check in at reception to receive your free goodie bag!
