Our Youth Reference Group (YRG) is a team of young people who are passionate about mental health and help shape the way headspace operates.  With support from our Community Awareness Officer, YRG members:

– Design and run community events –
– Advocate for youth mental health –
– Share their voices to improve headspace services –

About YRG

We welcome young people from all backgrounds and strongly encourage expressions of interest from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, multicultural youth, LGBTIQA+ community members, and young people with disabilities.

As a YRG member, you’ll have opportunities to:

  • Lead exciting local projects to raise awareness about mental health and headspace
  • Improve how young people experience headspace services
  • Contribute to research and service evaluations
  • Connect with other community organisations
  • Build confidence through training and leadership opportunities
  • Make friends and be part of a supportive team

Who Can Join? If you're aged 15-25 and you have a few hours per month or fortnight to give, we'd love to hear from you! No experience needed—just enthusiasm and a passion for making a difference.
